“BUILDING THE DREAM”
After 25 years of service to the community, the Persian Cultural Center (PCC) sees this as the perfect time to rally around our community’s long-time dream to create a physical Center to house our current activities and provide further, much needed, community services and programming for the Iranian-American Community.
The conditions have never been so favorable and the need ever so compelling. Here are just a few reasons why this dream is so important:
-Members of our aging population and their families need support.
-The younger generation needs structure, guidance and language skills.
-Parents would be helped by increased resources and networking.
-The current real estate market is absolutely encouraging.

| Let's Help Katie Walk Again |
Please join the PCC Foundation and fellow community members in raising funds for Katie and giving her a chance to walk again. See the following link to hear from Katie herself about the car crash that left her paralyzed and about the cutting edge treatment that is already showing promise. Katie is a smart, beautiful, and determined young woman who is working hard toward recovering the use of her legs. Contributing to Katie's care and treatment is not only an act of support for a young life but it is an investment in medical advancement that benefits the entire population. From everyone at PCC, good luck Katie!
You may make your donation through PCC and it will be tax exempt. Please call our office or write a check to "PCC Foundation (Katie)." or pay with PayPal.

Reduce Your Use
Participate on Reduce Your UseSM days by using less electricity between 11 am.m. and 6 p.m.
• Run major appliances like ovens, dishwashers, washers and dryers before 11 am. or after 6. p.m.
• Plan activites outside your home, unplug devices that aren't in use before leaving.
• Raise your central A/C's thermostat setting four to six degrees from where you usually have it set.
• Turn off large electronics like big screen televisions and home entertainment systems.
• Unplug chargers and power strips instead of leaving electronics in sleep or stand-by mode.
• Turn down the electric water heater temperature, a 40- gallon water heater typically stores enough hot water for several showers.
• Turn off pool pump between 11 am. and 6 p.m.

| Help Tell Sheila's Story |
|
You can help, it doesn't cost money, it doesn't hurt, and you don't have to leave your home.
After my friend Sheila was diagnosed with Leukemia in February 2013, and she began asking for people to register through bethematch.org, I began to realize how much of our community were unaware that registering was not only free, but only required a mouth swab that you mail back after receiving your kit.
Please Register First
Please make sure you are registered at bethematch.org first and foremost.
Secondly, if you can, please make a donation through this link.
Thank you in advance for your help.
